Abstract [en]
In a changing climate coastal areas are often the most vulnerable areas, often highly populated and infrastructure such as buildings, industry, roads and railroads are also present in the coastal area. Coastal areas are often very vulnerable for climate change induced threats, such as erosion, flooding, cyclones, etc. This vulnerability method is focusing on erosion and the idea is to develop a semi automatic GIS-based vulnerability mapping method, that presents the vulnerability on an illustrative, coloured, map. The method will be used to create vulnerability maps for the Swedish municipalities, that are easy to use in their planning process.
